The older brother of the Seaside town killer testified his parents "could not manage" of their child and he feared his brother would murder a individual of their family, a public inquiry has heard.

Axel Rudakubana, then 17, murdered three youngsters at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on that date.

The official investigation, conducted at Liverpool Town Hall, was told the family member the older brother warned a acquaintance there was a danger of his relative "committing an act potentially fatal."

The investigation was informed Dion wrote to his friend over the online platform: "The fights are scary because of the risk of someone dying."

Dion stated his relative reminded him of the sociopathic murderer in the picture No Country For Old Men.

Rising Hostility

The inquiry was told Dion was identified with a health issue at the age of 12 which resulted in him needing mobility assistance and his parents providing increased care.

In response to the lawyer, attorney, if that affected their bond he replied: "Conflict arose that resulted."

Dion concurred his brother seemed to dislike this development.

He testified the investigation that after the family relocated from the Welsh capital to the seaside town his relative's behavior worsened and he would have "violent outbursts."

The inquiry learned Dion became "increasingly wary" of his relative, who would strike him often.

He testified: "I was forced to be wary if I did speak to him because every argument could turn into an altercation."

'Real worries'

The brother said his brother became increasingly physical after he was expelled from his school in that region, in October 2019.

Dion left for university in 2022 and the two had diminishing contact "as he was unaccustomed to having me around."

The hearing was informed of a message Dion sent to a friend on the platform in which he stated his brother was angered by him having conversations after dark because of the limited soundproofing in their home.

He further revealed to his associate there was a possibility of "his committing an act deadly."

He wrote: "Confrontations are terrifying because of the risk of someone dying."

Mr Boyle asked: "You were genuinely concerned that your brother would kill a member of your family?"

He replied: "If things escalated to that point."

The counsel questioned how his family dealt with the attacker's violent behaviour.

"It didn't make sense to attempt to discipline him," he stated. "Also, there was a significant danger in doing so.

"We said there was a general risk to safety in general conversation, if you seek to address him... it could provoke violence."

When the lawyer inquired if his mother and father had lost control of his relative, the brother agreed.

Questioned regarding his sibling being similar to a persona from the movie the thriller, he explained: "It was said that figure's meant to be a psychopath and that's why I chose that description there."

He revealed the final contact he had with his brother was in the summer of 2023.

He confirmed that their parents asked the killer to say goodbye to him as he was departing to visit his companions and his relative threw a bottle at him but the door had closed before it hit.

The inquiry ongoing.
