Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
